About us
A Yissachar
and Zevulun
relationship
Our Kolel was founded in 5779 by business partners (and brothers-in-law) Abi Vail and Yanky Borenstein. Together with the Rosh Kolel, Rabbi Schneur Zalman Kessler, they have created a unique space to help committed Chabad chassidim take their learning of Halacha and Chassidus to the next level.
Our Kolel aims to attract bochurim and yungerleit with yiras shamayim and with a genuine interest and ability in learning halacha. Our main goal is to build independence in each Kolel member's learning.

Our secondary goal is to give chassidishe bochurim and yungerleit the tools to pasken, through Halacha B'Iyun. If a member is willing to enter the field of Rabbonus — and Chabad Rabbonim are needed across the world — the learning here is meant to carry him toward competent psak.
We strive to do all this in the spirit of שבת אחים גם יחד — collaboratively and cohesively. Our Kolel aims to be a warm, family-like group, with achdus between yungerleit and bochurim as a stated goal. We build that through joint Shabbos meals and farbrengens, as well as through the daily reality of spending most of our days together, with a common purpose.
Above all, this Kolel is a space to work on growing as a person, Yid, and Chossid.
